Movie Review-Normal

Ben Wheatley’s action packed carnage splat fest, “Normal” is not a ba time filler!

Bob Odenkirk is always fun to watch & thankfully it doesn’t waste any of its 90 minute runtime.

It does have a “slow-burn”, classic western approach to it interestingly enough & mixing the Yakuza element provided the genre bending film that Wheatley is noted for.

The film was a reunion for the "Nobody brain trust," including Odenkirk, Kolstad, and producer Marc Provissiero. They chose to film in Winnipeg immediately after wrapping “Nobody 2”, keeping the same crew to roll straight into production for “Normal”.

Of course since this film came from the producers of “John Wick”, there’s a subplot involving a dog that gives the film a bit of heart (without spoiling anything).

Again, not a film I’m eager to revisit but it’s definitely worth watching once for fans of action and thrillers.
